Currently, 90% of Manual students (T-Bolts) qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch. 96% of the students are people of color. A low-income demographic and lack of racial diversity provide unique challenges for student success. While all Colorado schools receive per-pupil funding, the difference is glaring when you look at the additional funds raised by a school community for extra-curricular and additional programs that enhance the mandated curriculum.
That’s where the Friends of Manual comes in. The vital elements of FOM fundraising are faculty grants, extra-curricular activities, essential elective classes and innovative and career-focused academic programs, to help students receive the academic, social, psychological and emotional support needed to succeed in post-secondary education or career.

- $25/month ($300) helps purchase food for the Manual Market
