Andrew Hudson
Class of 1984
Andrew transferred to Manual through the Voluntary Open Enrollment Program. His family had a strong musical background, and he excelled in music at Manual under the guidance of teachers like Mr. Avis and Miss Davis. Manual's small size and partnership with East High School allowed for unique opportunities like shared classes. Andrew also shared his experiences being right at the cusp of the youth gang movement when the Bloods and the Crips became a big deal in the city. Andrew went on to become established as a jazz musician and worked in PR for Mayor Wellington Webb (Class of 1958).
